SpaceTime
The Einstein Telescope is a proposed giant underground telescope capable of detecting extremely faint gravitational waves.
Gravitational waves provide insights into the origin of the Universe and the properties of black holes.
Telescopes capable of detecting gravitational waves are relatively new and completely different from traditional telescopes.
SpaceTime describes how these new telescopes effectively give our planet 'ears' - to accompany the 'eyes' it already has with light collecting telescopes. In this way, even the 'darkest' regions of the Universe become visible.
